Atom AF Fights Off Arctic Chill

A new jacket from Arc’Teryx’s LEAF (Law Enforcement and Armed Forces) division offers the additional insulation that those extreme, arctic-like days necessitate.

Although it can be worn all on its own, the Arc’Teryx Atom AF was designed to be utilized as an outer garment. The relaxed fit jacket is breathable and stops at hip level. Cut with added room in the torso, the Atom AF can be layered over a compact rig or light body armor.

The extra thick layer of synthetic Coreloft (100g/m2) provides that much needed insulation. It’s bulkier than similar LEAF jackets but compressible enough to stow in its own hand pocket. It’s true to size and doesn’t need to be ordered in a larger size to accommodate light body armor.

Additional features:

  • 3-inch tall collar (Velcro patch on the back for IFF)
  • Full front zip (wind flap for added elemental protection)
  • Gusseted underarms and articulated elbows
  • Two hand warmer pockets
