Converse’s Honor Code Guarantee

A 1,000 care packages sent overseas won’t make any difference if soldiers are marching around in ill-fitting combat boots.

One manufacturer is reaching out to those troops abroad with a stellar return policy that applies only to U.S. Military personnel and U.S contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Honor Code Guarantee from Converse salutes those serving our country by offering a no-questions-asked return policy that lasts up to six months after the purchase date.

This might be old news to some, but it was new news to us.

Even after you wear Converse boots in the field, if they don’t treat your feet right, call 877-753-2426 toll free, and Converse will happily replace ’em. Again, you must be U.S. Military personnel or U.S. contractors stationed in Iraq or Afghanistan. They’ll send the new boots over to the Middle East at their own expense with no paperwork, no receipts and no hassle. “All we need is your word of honor,” the guarantee states.

So, here’s a big salute to Converse for making sure our troops are well taken care of.

  1. In April 2011, I purchased a pair of Converse lowtop sidezip boots in desert tan. size 13 nonsafety toe. It is now early August and I hate to say the boots are not lasting like the last pair I owned. These have developed a tear in the material at the bend of the big toe of my left foot. I am a contractor in Afghanistan and would like to know how to take advantage of the Honor rebate, as I misplaced the paperwork that came with my boots. Can anyone help me contact Converse about this. Thank you
