Tactical Resolutions for 2014

It’s time to show 2014 who’s boss. This is the year to commit to training harder and being a better operator. Stay on top of your game by being stealthier, healthier and happier.

We have some goals to get you started, and we’ve paired them with the gear to help meet them. Check out our seven tactical resolutions designed to help you dominate the new year.

1.) Be more active

This is a common resolution for many people, but when you’re in this business, it’s imperative. Any mission will run smoother when you’re in tip-top shape. Do your body a favor, and get out to the gym more. Plus, ladies love a little muscle. Many top brands offer athletic-inspired footwear and clothing for tactical and military professionals. We’ve compiled our favorites to help unleash your inner athlete.

2.) Hit the range on the weekends

When we got busy this year, we noticed our range time was one of the first things to go. How long has it been since you were able to let off some brass? Shooting practice is not only helpful, but also therapeutic. This year, we’re making a vow to spend some more “me time” at the range. To help get you out there, we’ve compiled some range day essentials for your convenience.

3.) Arm Yourself

You only get one body—don’t take that lightly. Stand unafraid in the face of an intense mission knowing you’ve done all you can to protect yourself. When you feel safer, you act bolder. Stock up on armor and protection this year.

4.) Drink more water

This is another classic resolution. Take care of your body by keeping it healthy and hydrated. Every year we promise to do this, and every year, we fall short. But not this year! Make keeping this resolution a little easier by shopping our hydration products.

5.) Stay stealthy

There’s a time and place for everything, and sometimes looking over-the-top-tactical can have it’s disadvantages. This year, we’re going to stay stealthy by rocking a low-profile look. One way to achieve this is to pack heat without anyone noticing. This year, we’ll be keeping it covert with a low-profile holster.

6.) Always be prepared

Last year was packed with surprises, and no one knows what this year could hold. Although gear can’t prepare you for everything, you can at least stay one step ahead by stocking up on tools that give you the upper-hand. Whether there’s a zombie apocalypse or a package that needs opening, we want to be as prepared as possible. Bring it on, 2014! We’ll be ready for it.

7.) Stay on schedule

Nobody likes the late guy. Not only that, but running a tight ship amps up your productivity. Your time is important, make sure you get the most of it. Always be on time when you pick up one of these watches designed for the elite operator.

  1. What tool would you recommend to “always be prepared?” I see the tools, but could use some recommendations for just an everday essential tool or knife.
